Privacy Policy

SchengenScore.com is a free tool that helps Indian applicants check their Schengen visa readiness. This policy explains what data we collect, what we do with it, and how you can get it deleted. We've written this in plain English, not legalese.

What We Collect

When you use the assessment tool and submit your details, we collect:

  • Contact information — your name, email address, and WhatsApp number.
  • Financial details — your bank balance range, annual income range, ITR filing history, and investment details. We collect ranges (like "₹3-6 Lakhs"), not exact numbers.
  • Employment details — your employment type, tenure, and whether you can get employer documentation.
  • Travel history — countries visited, active visas, previous Schengen visa history, and any past rejections.
  • Trip plans — your destination country, travel dates, trip purpose, who you're traveling with, and when you plan to apply.
  • Document readiness — passport status, whether you have photos, flight bookings, hotel reservations, insurance, cover letter, itinerary, bank statements, and salary slips ready.
  • Appointment status — whether you've booked a VFS appointment and the date if applicable.

What We Do With It

We use your data for exactly two things:

  • Generate your assessment — your quiz answers are processed to calculate your visa readiness score, identify red flags, create your action plan, and build your personalized document checklist.
  • Send you your report — your email and WhatsApp number are used to deliver your assessment report. That's it.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't sell your data to anyone. Not to visa consultants, not to travel agencies, not to advertisers. Nobody.
  • We don't share your data with any third party for their marketing or business purposes. We will only share your contact information with visa consultants if you explicitly opt in during the assessment.
  • We don't send spam. You won't get marketing emails, promotional messages, or unsolicited WhatsApp messages from us.
  • We don't use your data for advertising. We don't run ads and we don't use your information to target ads anywhere.

How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored on Supabase, a cloud database platform with encrypted storage. All data is encrypted in transit (your browser to our server) and at rest (on the server). Access to the database is restricted and protected by authentication controls.

Cookies

We use cookies only for basic rate limiting — to prevent abuse of the assessment tool. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or retargeting pixels. We don't track you across the web. You can disable cookies in your browser and the tool will still work.

Third-Party Services

  • Supabase — stores your assessment data. Their privacy policy is at supabase.com/privacy.
  • Google Fonts — loads the typeface used on the site. Google may collect your IP address when fonts load.

We don't use any advertising networks, social media trackers, or marketing tools.

Deleting Your Data

You can request complete deletion of all your data at any time. Email hello@schengenscore.com with the subject line "Delete my data" and include the email address you used for the assessment. We will permanently delete all your information within 7 days and confirm by email.

Your Rights

  • You can request a copy of all data we have about you.
  • You can request correction of any inaccurate information.
  • You can request permanent deletion of your data.

Children

This tool is not intended for anyone under 18. If a minor has used the tool, contact us and we'll delete their data immediately.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll note what changed.
